The Coalition for an Independent America is a non-profit, non-partisan group striving to improve our country’s economic future by reducing our dependence on foreign oil. We are looking for two students at each university across America to join us in our goal of increasing awareness of the challenges our current oil policy presents. If you would like to have an impact on the direction of our country, we invite you to join our internship program. This is the ideal paid internship opportunity for a student that wants to make a difference now - for our economy, for our earth, and for future generations.
Our current dependence on foreign oil is contributing to huge trade deficits, a worsening credit crisis and the deteriorating geopolitical climate. Our leaders are committed to making positive changes in our energy policies, but they cannot succeed without the support of the American people. Our goal, with the Intern Program, is to provide the support necessary to make these critical changes by engaging the student population across the country. We want our Interns to spread the word in their schools and build a consensus for real change.
The commitment we require from our interns is simple, but our results will be sweeping. Our interns must have good comunication skills , have a computer with internet access , and be able to dedicate four hours each week starting in Fall 2009. We are looking for passionate, self-motivated interns to spend time organizing educational functions, creating member support programs and participating in public forums. Our internship program offers an opportunity to work for an important cause, network with key people, earn $10 per hour and boost your resume. If you are passionate and think you have what it takes, we invite you to submit an application for our program.
